We believe that incorporating the rainwater run off from your house into a natural pond, pondless stream or billabong for use in your garden makes sense, especially in these times of water restrictions.
By using a water feature as a water storage vessel you will encourage wildlife into your garden, enhancing the enjoyment of your pond or billabong while saving both water and money. The overflow from grey water systems is also another source of water for your pond, to be filtered naturally again by the BIOFALLS biological filtration and plants that thrive in your pond. The excess water from the pond can then be used to automatically run an irrigation system, or be incorporated into Permaculture applications such as swale systems and ground water recharge points.
First Flush systems that divert the initial flow of water containing all the contaminants washed off the roof help to prevent pollutants entering your pond, maintaining its health.
